Here is some of my photography, taken mostly in California, especially around Santa Barbara, and in Franconian Switzerland (Fränkische Schweiz), Bavaria. This one is from Glacier Point at Yosemite National Park.
I grew up in a relatively remote place of natural beauty, and learned from an early age how enlightening and refreshing it can be to be in nature. Now living part in the United States and part in Germany, I feel blessed to call each Santa Barbara and Franconian Switzerland home with their unique magical landscapes.
I love American road trips through the great National Parks. One of my favorite places so far is Bryce Canyon, especially in winter - hiking in between picturesque orange rock formations covered with white snow, under a blue sky!
French composer Olivier Messiaen was inspired here to write Des canyons aux étoiles... (From the canyons to the stars...), an awesome twelve-movement orchestral work.
